Private Pilot Licence//
At AFT, our highly qualified professional instructors will take you through the full course of training to achieve your Private Pilot Licence. Whether you are aiming for an airline career or simply wish to fly privately for pleasure, our PPL course is the perfect start to achieve your dream.
During your course of training you fly a minimum of 45 hours, of which 35 hours must be dual and 10 hours solo. You will need to complete written examinations in the mandatory 7 subjects of theoretical knowledge. Flying lessons typically follow the pattern of a ground briefing, an hour of instructional flight in our modern glass cockpit Diamond DA40 aircraft, followed by a debrief session.
AFT offers the PPL course over a recommended duration of 6 to 12 weeks, dependent upon whether you undertake the course of training on a full or part time basis.
The JAR PPL will allow you to add commercial, multi engine, night and instrument ratings to your licence. A medical certificate is required from an aviation medical examiner, and if you are considering a commercial flying career you will require a Class 1 Medical issued by the Civil Aviation Authority Medical Department, London Gatwick. For private and leisure flying, a Class 2 Medical is acceptable.
Entry Requirements:
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required for any flying in Jordan)
- Have good command of the English language (spoken, read and written)
- Hold a Class 1 or Class 2 medical
