We recognise that this is a life changing decision for our students. Our Flight Crew Selection Team will work with you to decide whether you have what it takes to become a Commercial Airline Pilot. To do this, you will need to complete a Pilot Skills Assessment on one of our scheduled Assessment Days.
Our Assessment Days are tough and comprehensive, aiming to select the best candidates with the right skill sets who will then receive an offer of a place on the Integrated Cadet Programme. For a limited period our flight crew assessments are free, to book a place please call us on 02476 980188.

- Maths and Physics tests
- Multi Crew Exercises
- Psychometric Exam
- Aviation Exam
- Computer Skills Test – COMPASS (hand/eye coordination, focus etc)
- Lateral Thinking Exam
- Reasoning Exam
- Interview
- Debriefing
Entry Qualifications
Basic entry requirements for AFT students are as follows:
- Applicants must be at least 17 years old
- Before accepting an offer to join an Integrated Course you must be in possession of a JAA Class 1 Medical Certificate (the initial examination for this Certificate is completed at the Civil Aviation Authority Aeromedical Centre based at Gatwick Airport)
